Kris obtained
a Masters Degree in Montessori. She started her career in
education as a science teacher before changing her focus to
the wonderful world of early childhood development. She
effectively utilizes and combines both of these areas of
expertise through her valuable work at the Children's
Museum. Kris has been in museum education for 4 years and
is the Early Childhood Program Developer for Cincinnati
Museum Center. Kris’ responsibilities at the Children’s
Museum also include writing lesson plans, choosing and
scheduling presenters, and providing training to a variety
of audiences.

Donna Ruiz
holds a Doctorate of Education degree in Special Education,
a Masters of Arts degree in Special Education with focus in
Early Childhood Education, a Bachelors of Arts degree in
Economics, a Bachelors of Arts in Communication Arts, and
she minored in her undergraduate studies in Ballet. Donna
also has state licensing Certificates in Elementary 1st
through 8th grade, Multi-handicapped and Developmentally
Handicapped ages 0-21 years, and state licensing Validations
in Preschool Kindergarten and Early Education of the
Handicapped Child birth to age 3 years, as well as a
University Certificate in Professional Practice. Donna has
been working for the University of Cincinnati since 1993 in
various roles including as a preschool teacher at the Arlitt
Child and Family Research and Education Center, as a
Research Associate working as project coordinator for
evaluation for multi-state and local education and health
initiatives, as an Adjunct Instructor for Early Childhood
Education on campus and online and she is currently the
Director of Academics and Faculty for the University of
Cincinnati nationally recognized Early Childhood Education
distance education degree program. She has published in
text books, manuals, national and international refereed
journals, and has written policy white papers for the former
Governor of the State of Ohio in support of Head Start
effectiveness. She has also presented widely in the field
of education locally, regionally, nationally and
internationally. Donna has volunteered for the CAEYC Board
for the past 2 years assisting the President and is
currently on the Communication's Committee

DeeAnn Camp
holds a Masters degree in Education with an emphasis in
agency and community counseling. DeeAnn joined the
Cincinnati Union Bethel staff as Director of Head Start and
Social Services in August 2004. She has an extensive
background in the Head Start Program. She has valuable
experience in working with other delegate agencies, where
she held the position as the Family and Community
Partnership Coordinator. Some of her responsibilities
included supervising Family Service Workers, overseeing the
enrollment process, and the coordination of community
partnerships. DeeAnn has over 15 years of experience in
social service and has held a valued position with Family
Services in the Children Services Division.
