Jack Grunsky believes in the importance of music and movement for young children in developing language skills, body coordination, self-esteem, listening skills, a sense of community, and a better understanding of our world.

This presentation incorporates multicultural instruments and various musical styles while addressing diversity and curriculum expectations. Teachers will learn practical ways of integrating songs into their program to fire children’s imaginations while helping them to be happier, more engaged learners.  Click here for Jack's BIO.

 

Learn 'hellos' from around the world in, 'Siyanibingelela' ! Explore rain and thunder sounds in the echo chant, 'Big Thunder, Dark Cloud'. Learn early math skills and dance to the lively, 'Alligator Stomp'. Follow actions in the celebratory song, 'Iko Iko'. Learn a simple way for children to sing in 3-part harmony in, 'Songbirds'. Learn about the environment by planting imaginary seeds in the echo song, 'Seeds For My Garden'. Celebrate the world of the child through songs like, 'With My Own Two Hands''My Window' and 'School Days'. Develop body co-ordination and listening skills in, 'Jumpin' Beans' and 'Do The Bird', or create you own dance patterns to, 'Da Da Da, Do Do Do'. Explore sounds through home-made instruments and Jack's unique collection of 'world beat' rhythm makers. Learn songs from other cultures.
